Letting go is a decision that can never be dictated to us. It is a resolve we make ourselves. It's easy to hold on to memories, to live in the shadow of someone we love, someone who used to love us. But if we choose to close our hearts and hold on to the painful past, we will grow with bitterness and wishful yearning. We can start by accepting our present, and by realizing that our pain and suffering comes with a purpose. They are not meant to discourage us, but to make us stronger and better persons. Losing someone we love may not be a loss at all, but a blessing because someone even more deserving is yet to come. For the Lord has plans for us. It may be difficult to understand it now, but His ways are not our ways. He knows what is best for us, and if we give our trust in Him, and let Him move in our life, the sadness and hopelessness will go away, only to be replaced by hope, joy and love.
"Have faith in God! Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if only you have faith." Read Section 5.06 of the Book of Hope
