Sometimes, its easy for us to succumb to loneliness and depression, especially in the absence of a loved one. But being away doesn't necessarily mean we are forgotten. There is nothing more difficult for a parent than to be away from his family, but there are times they have to make this sacrifice in order to provide us with better future. They may not be with us physically, but we are always in their hearts. Just like our Father in heaven, we do not see Him face to face, yet we always feel his love. We can always talk to Him and tell Him our burdens, for we know He understands. He is always there to listen to us, and give us comfort. He made the ultimate sacrifice of giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, so that our sins may be forgiven, and that we may be saved.
Section 5.34 of the Book of Hope tells us Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. To his disciples he said, "Stay joined to me, and I will stay joined to you. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit unless it stays joined to the vine, you cannot produce fruit unless you stay joined to me. Stay joined to me and let my teachings become part of you. Then you can pray for whatever you want, and your prayer will be answered."
