Am I Too Young To Be In Love?
Hi! I'm from the Philippines and i received the book of Hope. People say I'm intelligent, maybe that's why everybody is leaning on me and having their eyes on me.
I'm only 12 and as EVERYBODY says, I am too young. But then I found this girl and she is very beautiful. The first time I saw her I fell in love with her. She got to know about it and then she admitted that she loves me too. We communicated through phone. She said she is not ready for a steady relationship so we remained friends. Just friends. But some people were talking about us until the whole school knew about the rumors. We know it isn't true. But everybody insisted that there is a reliable source that says we are "ON". That's the problem.
Upon hearing this, we talked to each other and said that we will no longer talk, nor say HI neither look at each other. We weren't friends for a long time until now.
I miss her so much. I want to love her but everybody says Im too young to love. Is there a certain age for us to love?
I am so changed. We didn't talked to each other until now. Even my performance in school isn't great anymore. My grades suffered and I always cry. Even everybody hates me.
I don't know what to do. It seems that I want to commit suicide.

It is always difficult to know if what you feel for a person is love or just mere attraction. However, friendship is always available for people who know how to handle a relationship. They say that good friendship doesn't need everyday conversations, doesn't always need togetherness, as long as the relationship is kept in the heart.
But Jesus is offering a different kind of friendship, a friendship that goes beyond normal relationship, a friendship that knows no bounds - even life. Jesus gave his own life for His friends - us. He says in
section 5.34 of the Book of Hope, "The greatest way to show love for friends is to die for them." Jesus died for us already and there's nothing more he won't do for us. He can give you peace and comfort, all you have to do is ask.
