Falling in love is one of the most anticipated events in our life. We dream about it, we read about it in romance novels, we see it on television and movies. The romantic idea of falling in love is so appealing to us, sometimes we can't wait. Sometimes in our rush, we fall hard and fast. But God did not intend for us to experience love that way.To love is to willingly commit ourselves, to give up our own happiness, to lay down our own life for another. It may sound deep and serious, but that is really what it means. We do afterall define love as God. Who else could be the source of such unselfish, unconditional and pure emotion if not Him who created all things beautiful. If only we learn to wait patiently, love will come to us. God wants us to experience it in His chosen time and place. It may not be in the exact package we want, but it will definitely surpass everything we hope it to be. Meanwhile let us not limit ourselves to the romantic side of love. As love has many forms, let us start expressing it to our family, our church and our community.
Want to know how much God loves us? Read section 2.1 of the Book of Hope and find out.
