It’s understandable that you would want to live with the person that you love. We all do. But that’s what marriage is for. You want to know what the Bible says about it…let’s look at Section 2.13 of the Book of Hope. Here, Jesus talks with a woman who was living with someone she wasn’t married to. He didn’t reject her, but he certainly didn’t accept what she was doing either.
Assuming that you're going to get married in the future is risky business. No one can know the future, so you can't make something right in retrospect. Marriage is a promise that safeguards both people. When you’re married, you’re both sure that the other person intends to stick around. If you’re not, then you open yourself up to a lot of pain.
