Does My Father Care About Me?
My name is Shaike and I'm from the Philippines. In this world, my family and my friends are very important to me.
It all started when I was in 1st year high shool. My dad and mom separated. I was very curious about what really happened, so I wrote a letter to my father but sad to say he didn't reply . I didn't know why. Since then, I believed that my father didn't care about me.
This feeling got me into many troubles, so that I was almost kicked out of my
school. I even joined fraternity groups to fill the emptiness inside me. I just wanted all things around me messed up.
Although I believe that I can handle now my problems because I still have my family and friends with me who made me realized that life is wonderful, I'm still thinking about my father. Does he still care about me?

It is said that the imprint of the father remains forever in the life of the child. Whether good or bad, like it or not, a father influences greatly his child. His impact could affect his child more than he and his child know. So what will happen if a father turned out to be a not – so – good father? It could create confusion and heartache. It is understandable if you have felt that way, it is natural. But don’t harbor ill – feelings towards your father forever, it will not do you anything good. Give him a chance to prove himself to you, always have your doors of reconciliation and forgiveness opened for him; it will release not only him but also you.
Jesus tells a story in Section 4.24 of the Book of Hope about the importance of forgiveness. Why don’t you read it and be encouraged.
