My Stepmom Doesn't Like Me

My Stepmom Doesn't Like Me

I am John Bosco from Nigeria. The important people in my life are my friends who are trustworthy.

I was in high school when my mom died. Then, my dad married another woman. She was not so nice to me.

So, I prayed to the Lord that He would change her because even if I treated her as my own mom she would not respond to me. This caused me to hate her. Years passed and I could still feel the resentmen that we have for each other.

Later on, I discovered that she was like using a spell on my dad and I felt like I wanted to kill her

I keep blaming myself for having a father like my dad. Right now, he stopped me from going to school and here I am wasting my precious time at home. Please i need help, Can somebody help me?

When problems beset us and situations do not conform to what we want, we tend to point fingers on others. This is the natural reaction of man. Instead of looking inward, he would be looking outward and find somebody to blame for all the misfortunes that come his way. Man simply forgets that as he points his finger to others, three are pointing back to him. You have prayed to God to change her, but did you ever ask God to change your attitude towards her? Take this as an oppprtunity for growth. You have seen her mistakes, but did you show her your love? You are not the only one adjusting to this change, she is also. Be at peace with her and exert all efforts to live harmoniously with her. Remember that God blesses those who are peacemakers. Read Section 3.16 of the Book of Hope and be encouraged.
