Someone said, “Let go of the hand of the person you love but don’t let go of God’s hand. For when you hold His hand, He might be holding the hand of the person you love with His other hand to let you hold each other in His time.” Isn’t it comforting to know that God cares so much for us that even what we feel matters to Him?
There is really nothing wrong with loving and caring for somebody special. It is part of being human. When God created man, He fashioned us wholly, “fearfully and wonderfully. That means we are formed with body, soul and spirit; the body being our physical framework, the soul the seat of our emotions and will, and the spirit the “true man”.
God has designed us with the capacity to love and be loved. We are even commanded to love. Problem arises when we fail to follow the order of things. In Section 4.40 of Book of Hope, Jesus gave us the greatest commandment and this comes in proper order. Read it now and pursue it!
